Intermediate Stained Glass

Explore this timeless art form in a supportive and creative environment with artists Lindsey and Mick Riecken. You’ll learn intermediate stained glass techniques as you make your own piece from start to finish. Prior experience is required, through Stained Glass 101 with Adventure Glassworks or comparable class.
You'll refine your skills in:
• Safely working on stained glass projects
• Choosing and cutting glass pieces
• Using a grinder to shape pieces perfectly
• Foiling, burnishing, and soldering designs together
• Finishing edges
• Cleaning, polishing, and hanging finished pieces
You'll choose from two different designs: circular desert scene or rectangular tulip.
Important Notes:
• We will break for 20-30 minutes for lunch. Please bring your own lunch, snacks, or drinks.
• Dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes for safety.
Stained glass tools and supplies, for use during class, are provided with the support of Friends of the Arts, Inc.
Activities are made possible in part by the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, the Indiana Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
We value inclusion and access for all participants. This class is wheelchair accessible and we are pleased to provide additional reasonable accommodations. Please contact Alexianna at alexi@traditionalartstoday.org to make a reasonable accommodation request. Requests must be submitted 2 weeks in advance of class.
