Kids Art Kreations | Learn to Draw Mothman in Pen!

Join artist Shelbi Pierce to bring the mysterious West Virginia cryptid, Mothman, to life on toned paper! Inspired by Shelbi's ABCs of Beasties book, this workshop combines folklore and art for a fun, hands-on experience.
You’ll start by sketching Mothman in pencil using simplified shapes, then learn inking techniques to give your drawing depth and character. Along the way, you’ll explore how different pens behave—and when to use each—while experimenting with white gel pens to create glowing highlights.
Each student will leave with a finished pen illustration of Mothman in the moonlight, plus a helpful pen comparison handout to guide future art supply choices.
This class is FREE thanks to a grant from the Menke Charitable Foundation.
